Sradha Farm retreat

I spent 3 wonderful and fascinating weeks at Sradha. Each hour was filled with something new and interesting and unexpected. To be welcomed into Sumans family and invited to share in their daily lives was a truly special experience. I wanted a complete contrast from my usual life in the UK and it really was in nearly every way. Living in a beautiful peaceful place, with amazing plants, wonderful creatures and fantastic views was a wonderful pleasure in its self. But then to learn a little about Kerala and a different way of life and meet so many warm and friendly people and learn off them about life- was a really unique experience. Days are filled with whatever you want really, if you want to learn yoga, Suman will organise this. You can marvel at the incredible insects and the chorus of frogs at night! You can get involved with the farming, teaching English, helping with the cooking, pottery, playing cricket, anything really. Walking out of the farm you are surrounded by beauty. I enjoyed many lovely walks (Suman is very knowledgeable about the plants and most things really!) and drinking chai in a local tea houses. After leaving Srahda I spent 3 weeks on a whilrwind tour of India which was great, but it really made me appreciate my time on the farm. I think its a view of Indian life that the average tourist would not have a clue about. Thank you to all at Sradha. I could write so much more, but i feel I’ve waffled enough. p.s the food is amazing!
