Overview
THE FARM BACKPACKERS is situated in the famous CAPE
WINELANDS region. Our hostel is located on the banks of the Breede river on a
working fruit farm, with gorgeous mountain, fruit orchard and river views.
Buildings previously used as farm labourer housing have been converted
into comfortable accommodation, where the rooms are spacious and the shower
water is always hot.
Our lifestyle here is rustic and rugged - you've
gotta love it! We spend our time gazing at the glittering night sky, pondering
the incredible mountains and enjoying the rush of the stream in the background.
If you are looking for a truly South African experience & are not afraid
to get off the beaten track, this is the place for you. We are as authentic as
it gets... no fake 'traditional' life here... This is how we really
live!
Activities range from wine tours, abseiling, mountain biking, game
viewing, fishing, kloofing, 4x4 trails and river tubing in the summer to snow
boarding and snow skiing in the winter. There is also excellent hiking from our
doorstep. Our lounge features a huge fireplace for all those cozy couples
looking for a bit of romance.
Daily 'Farm Style' meals are prepared by
thefarm.org.za and served around the camp fire on request. Enquire about our
