Placement: Awareness Programs on Environment in India

About the Placement

AIM OF THE PLACEMENT:

The aim of the placement is to make aware of our community to know about our environment and how to save it for the next generation. Out intention is also to bring a change in the attitude of our community towards nature.

HOW THE PLACEMENT HELPS:

In the past, with the help of our volunteers/interns we made many awareness programs on water conservation, global warming, aforestation, saving electricity, disuse of plastics. We are proud that we made some changes in the minds of our people.

THE HISTORY OF THE PLACEMENT:

Along with our staff members who will act as facilitators the volunteers will work in the rural and urban community. With the help of skits, charts and pictures we will be explaining how our environment is deteriorated and we teach them how to save it from everyone’s angle.

WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE, EXCITING:

Eventhough, the volunteer/intern suffers with the language barrier, it is interesting to teach a group which does not the knowledge. The volunteer feels happy when he/she contributes something to the unfortunate community and the volunteer gets a new experience.

Role of Volunteer

The Volunteers will:

1. The volunteer will be taken to the community to make a study about the needs

2.Design a program in consultation with the project managers if a particular program the volunteer wishes to do. The volunteers can view programs which are running.

3. The volunteer will sit for a discussion with the project managers and make a rehearsal.

4. We would expect the volunteer to prepare more charts, picture, plays, skits and other techniques to take the message to the community. We would recommend more participation from the audience side.

5. We would be very happy if a volunteer could do some research for receiving grants for making the programs more sustainable.

Travel Information

The volunteers will be provided pick up service from the nearest air ports on a fixed price.

We have arrangements for the volunteers to move from our guest house to the project site.

We are providing cheap and neat facility for accommodation.
