About the Placement

Our wildlife care centre and guest farm is situated in a remote Valley of the beautiful malaria-free Waterberg. We are offering you a very unique and private bushveld experience in Limpopo Province, 20km out of Bela Bela [Warmbaths], 180km north of Johannesburg and Johannesburg International Airport.

Cost: Costs for non-local volunteers is 6500,--ZAR per month [650 Euros 550 British Pounds per month]. For a stay of 4 weeks or less: 220,--Euro/week and additional 120,--Euro for Airport Transfer] The costs include all accommodation and 2 meals/day. Airport Transfer, sharing accommodation in 4 single bedroom with bathroom, additional outdoor shower, community living room with TV and DVD and Kitchen. 3 x 500ml bottled water or soft drink. Access to Wireless Internet [Hotspot] with own Notebook 10,--ZAR per 60 minutes. Visit to Shingwedzi Cheetah Farm, Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm and 3h game drive at Zebula Game Lodge, visiting lion cubs and lunch at 5-star Lodge incl.

Role of Volunteer

Preparation/distribution of food for animal feed rounds

Caring for sick and orphaned animals

Cleaning of camps and cages, animal sitting and observing

Updating animal medical lists

Helping and assisting in Rehab-Programme

General admin/ ad hoc duties.

Required to assist on occasions with small maintenance work [example: fixing of fences, camps etc.]
