Our lodge is new (5 years) and small (12 rooms) located on the shores of Lake Atitlán, Guatemala.Its mision is to provide hospitality in harmony with nature and culture. We make several efforts to be authentic. This hotel is part of three small hotels with the same brand: uxlabil means your breath in Mayan language. The other two are in Guatemala city and Antigua Guatemala.

Role of Volunteer

A. To promote electronic business: improving web page and linking it to diferent associations: birdwatchers, adventure travel, cultural exploration,ecotourism.
B. Receive and attend small groups of guests, conecting them to the hotel, the Lake, the community.
C. Teach basic English to employees (one hour every 2-3 days).
D. Improve identification and signaling of different species prevented in the ecolodge area.
E. Feedback two new projects: a hotel spa with the shapa of a Mayan Temple and a ship that crosses lake Atitlán visiting diferent towns ad the hotel

Cost

We offer free accommodation and travel to the project is the responsibility of the volunteer. However food is the responsibility of the volunteer or we can provide it for US$200 per month.
