Our Mission

We exists to provide students with the highest quality Spanish language and Latino culture education. Through in classroom education, volunteer placements, and travel, Amistad is committed to serving each individual’s personal needs and goals. We value our participant’s unique qualities and encourage them to always strive to do their best.

Our Goals

Our goals focus on the needs of our students, participants, employees, partners and Costa Rica. In order to obtain the most successful academic and social outcomes, our main goals are:

To provide a professional learning environment for our students
• Educate students in safe and secure surroundings
• Ensure that all students are mastering the academic material required for their specific needs and goals.
• Ensure that Spanish language professors are knowledgeable and equipped with the adequate materials needed to successfully teach their students.
• Provide students with opportunities to learn Spanish language and Latino culture through real life experiences.

To provide a personalized experience for each student to participant through the assistance of a caring mentor
• Assist students in achieving their goals
• Interact with students in order to help them develop a personal and confident relationship
• Provide students with the necessary guidance and information needed to enjoy their experience.

Provide student participants with volunteer experiences that will allow them to put there Spanish and cultural learning in action
• Provide a variety of volunteer opportunities
• Assist participants in deciding which volunteer program would suit them best
• Ensure that participants are meeting all their volunteer experience expectations
• Create opportunities in which participants become better international citizens serving the global community.
