Established in
1976, this Nepalese wildlife camp is the most ideally located and well managed camp
inside the National Park. It offers two facilities; the Jungle Lodge and
the outdoor Jungle Camp built in harmony with its environment offers you
the best of wildlife, with our well organized program through our expert local
naturalists. The camp boasts excellent sights of wildlife from rhinos, 45 other
species of mammals and many of the 522 different species of
birds.
We tooko ver this property in the beginning of 2005. After our takeover of the
property first of all we tried to make the staff understand about the importance of The Royal Chitwan National Park and its
flora and fauna. One of our Senior Field Naturalists is working with the local
staff and also with the local clubs and the local people to create awareness
about the importance of the National Park. We also have given education tour to
the students of the college who are studying environment science and they made
the local students and the people around the region to preserve the
habitat.
The
most important is outdoor Jungle Camp, is using local product as possible to
financially help the local people like purchasing organic vegetables, milk,
and other products and also we only provide job if possible
to the local people such thing help the local economy.
We want volunteers to help in several capacities including informal teaching of English for the local guides and children. We also want volunteers to help with the general running of the lodge including cleaning, cooking and to provide assistance to the tourists.
