Draped along the greatest heights of the Himalaya, Nepal is where the ice-cold of the mountains meets the steamy heat of the Indian plains. It's a land of yaks and yetis, stupas and Sherpas and some of the best trekking on earth. The Himalaya's most sophisticated urban cultures took shape here, in the three great mini kingdoms of the Kathmandu Valley -Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur - home to a world-class artistic and architectural heritage.

We have been placing gap year volunteers in projects throughout Nepal since 2004. The organisation was set up by 2 Nepali Red Cross workers, who decided they wanted to help the poor communities more directly. We are based in Kathmandu, where we run a charitable school, an orphanage, 2 health posts and 2 womens development groups. However, we are affiliated and give funding to projects throughout Nepal.
We offer a broad variety of gap year volunteer Nepal volunteer opportunities. Whether you are a qualified teacher, doctor or builder, or do not have any specific experience, we are confident in finding a placement that suits you and gives maximum benefit to the community you work in.
