50+ - add 15 years to that and still enjoy!!....I travelled a lot after our children grew up then about 5 years ago went to Uganda and seem to have got stuck there.
I found an area in SW where scenery is beautiful, no other white people were helping and one young man from the village was building a tiny basic Guest House to try give employment to some of his friends. I decided to help by spending rest of my money in local hardware shop - now 4 years later we have got 6 guest bandas, built a craft centre/workshop - teaching computing & soon tailoring & other skills (as we find volunteers to help star up classes) we have a nursery school with around 50 village children attending and more. I dont live there (have got 5 grandchildren here plus husband of 40+ years who hates travelling) - I go out for about 6 weeks at a time - a couple of times a year and keep in touch by email and phone both ways
